What We Can Do for You
Design for Product
Form, function, ergonomics, usability, color, material, stresses analysis, emotion, sellability, profitability, manufacturability, trend forecasting…everything is evaluated and culturally oriented.
From the first graph on paper to the final FEA, the DESIGN PROCESS guides the creation of the product.
The entire process is organized to achieve the best TIME TO MARKET and the expected goals.
Inhoc Signo, in 2017 was awarded the "EUROPEAN PRODUCT DESIGN AWARD".
Design For Sustainability
The raw materials and natural resources available on our planet are limited, and products must be designed to minimise their environmental impact. For every product we develop, we apply Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) procedures, scientifically evaluating the entire life cycle—from raw materials to end‑of‑life recycling—to guide responsible product creation. All factors are assessed: COâ‚‚ equivalent emissions (carbon footprint), energy consumption during production and logistics, waste generated, and packaging. This rigorous approach supports companies in achieving the highest standards of EPD (Environmental Product Declaration). In March 2020, Inhoc Signo became the first company in the world to launch a complete furniture collection fully certified with an EPD by Environdec.
Computational Design and Materials Science
We integrate computational design with materials science to accelerate innovation and deliver high‑performance solutions. Through parametric and generative design, optimization algorithms and physics‑based simulations, we explore extensive design spaces and identify the most effective configurations. Our workflow combines neural‑network‑assisted modelling, advanced computational design platforms and multi‑physics software, forming an Agentic AI Workflow that enhances exploration, prediction and validation throughout the development process. Our materials science capability enables us to define, select and study advanced materials and metamaterials tailored to the required product properties, ensuring that every choice is rigorously tested, validated and aligned with functional, regulatory and sustainability targets.
Additive Manufacturing and Prototyping
Additive manufacturing enables the creation of lighter, stronger and more complex parts that traditional subtractive methods cannot achieve. By designing specifically for AM processes—such as FDM, SLA, SLS, Binder Jetting and others—we optimise geometry and improve performance while preserving manufacturability for traditional production routes. At Inhoc Signo, we design for additive manufacturing and deliver functional prototypes and pre‑series production to validate performance, assembly and production readiness. Working across resin, polymer and metal AM technologies, we select the most suitable process for each project, accelerating development, shortening time to market and de‑risking scale‑up.
